Asst. Prof. Dr. Doina Popescu was born and educated in Romania. She graduated the Department of English and French Language and Literature of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Pitesti. She got her Ph. D. in Applied Linguistics in 2003 from the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She is a highly qualified pre-university and university teacher who has an extensive teaching experience both in Romania and abroad. As part of her professional activity, Dr. Doina Popescu participated in many British Council projects, she published books and scientific papers, and elaborated teaching materials for university use. She is referent for many scientific publications and university publishing houses. She is currently teaching in the Near East University, ELT department.
